Privacy Policy

Effective September 19, 2026

This policy explains what information My Union Paycheck ("we," "us," or "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. My Union Paycheck is built to check your pay — so protecting the information you share with us is central to how we work.

The short version: We use your earnings statements only to run your review and build your reports. We never share your information with your employer, your union, or HR. We don't sell your personal information. And you can ask us to delete it at any time.

1What we collect

Information you give us. This includes your email address and account details; your union local and job classification; and the earnings statements and pay documents you upload. Those documents may contain your name, your employer, your wages and hours, shift and other differentials, overtime, deductions, retirement contributions, and similar payroll details. It also includes any messages you send us.

Payment information. When paid plans are available, payments are handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation of your subscription but do not collect or store your full card number.

Information we collect automatically. Like most websites, we may collect basic usage and device information (such as browser type, pages viewed, and general location inferred from your IP address) through cookies and similar technologies, to run and improve the site.

2Sensitive information

Earnings statements contain sensitive financial and employment information. We treat this information with care, use it only to provide the service to you, and don't use it to infer things about you for advertising or unrelated purposes. If a document you upload happens to include information we don't need (for example, a partial Social Security or account number), we don't use it, and you're welcome to redact it before uploading.

3How we use it

  • To run your review and generate your reports.
  • To keep your earnings statements available to you in your account.
  • To set up your account, process your subscription, and provide support.
  • To send you service messages, and — only if you've opted in — occasional updates.
  • To secure, maintain, and improve the service.
  • To comply with law and enforce our terms.

4How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We also do not share it with your employer, hospital system, union, manager, or HR.

We share information only in these limited ways:

  • Service providers that help us run My Union Paycheck — such as our hosting service, our payment processor, our email and form providers, and our analytics providers — who may process information only on our behalf and under obligations to protect it.
  • Legal and safety reasons, when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety.
  • A business transfer, if we're ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we'll notify you and this policy will continue to apply to your information.

5Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to understand how it's used. We may use privacy-friendly analytics to count visits and measure interest. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where we use an analytics provider that offers an opt-out, we'll honor it. During our current early-access phase, the main thing we collect is your email address, along with basic analytics.

6How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and afterward only as needed to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you ask us to delete your information, we'll do so unless we're required to keep some of it by law.

7How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — but protecting your pay data is a core part of how we build the service.

8Your choices & rights

You can access and update your account information, ask us for a copy of the information you've given us, ask us to correct or delete it, and unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time. To make a request, contact us at info@myunionpaycheck.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9California privacy rights

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; to request access to and deletion or correction of your personal information; to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information; and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we use sensitive personal information only to provide the service you asked for.

You won't be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us at info@myunionpaycheck.com. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

10Children

My Union Paycheck is intended for adults in the workforce and is not directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

11Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
